Mauni Amavasya Shahi Snaan

 Pilgrims are visiting prayagraj on Mauni Amavasya for sacred dip. The importance of this day has been increased because this day coming on Monday this year after so many decades.
Approximate 3 crores pilgrims are expected to come in sangam on Mauni Amavasya for Shahi Snaan. This is the second shaahi snaan of this Kumbh Mela.

Pilgrims has started gathering on Sangam for a holy dip on Mauni Amavasya. On this day Rishav Dev broke his long vow of silence and took sacred dip in Sangam
Saints do Maun Vrat for complete day by not speaking any word on this day. As per belief Hindu Dev also come in Sangam on Mauni Amavasya. 
As per belief water turn into nectar on Mauni Amavasya so taking sacred dip on this day holds great importance.

Mauni Amavasya also known as Magh Amavasya as it falls in the middle of Magh Month. On this auspicious day pilgrims do lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu worship and take sacred dip in Ganga River to purify their soul and to fulfill all their wishes. This day is considered as biggest day in complete Kumbh mela and highest congregation of pulgrpil are always observed on this auspicious day of Kumbh journey.
