Kumbh Mela 2019 in Prayagraj

Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred or holy river. Kumbh Mela is a celebrated four times over a course of 12 years. Kumbh Mela held periodically at Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, Haridwar Kumbh Mela, Nashik Trimbakeshwar Simhastha and Ujjain Simhastha.
During the Kumbh Mela, a lot of ceremonies takes places like akharas, the shining swords and rituals of naga sadhus during shahi snaan and other rituals that attract millions of pilgrims to attend the Kumbh Mela.

Kumbh Mela includes bathing ritual in which millions of pilgrims gather and perform this ritual at the Triveni Sangam. As per belief by doing this ritual one can purged of all their sins, release themselves and ancestors from the cycle of rebirth and can get moksha.
